Good sunny Thursday morning all! I hope everyone is having a wonderful day! One more day until the weekend, woohoo! Around here this weekend it is supposed to be above freezing and sunny, yeah! I have for you today an easel card(I got the pattern from Heather's blog. It was fun to put together!
Colors: so saffron, rose red, pumpkin pie, taken with teal, old olive
Accessories: designer button-sherbert, Sweet Pea designer series paper, aqua painters, wide oval punch, scallop oval punch, small oval punch, taken with teal marker
Stamp set: Pun Fun, Happy Moments(SAB-greeting)
So how did this go together you ask?? You will only need one sheet of cardstock for your base, thanks Heather for the pattern!! Cut your base 12x4" and score at 4", 6", 8". You can see from the picture how it will sit(I used a bit of adhesive on the back side of the front). On my old olive cardstock and dsp I used the Cutter Kit(I call it the edge shredder!) but you can also use your finger nail or bone folder for a similar effect. I watercolored my whale using my inks and the aqua painters on Naturals White cardstock. I stamped my whale with StazOn black which is perfect for watercoloring!! Colors used for watercoloring: pretty in pink, rose red, taken with teal, bashful blue(sky). I edged my waves and the waterspout with the taken with teal marker.
After punching the scallop oval I used my stampin' sponge and pumpkin pie ink to color the edges. I hope everyone has a very wonderful day and I'll "see" you tomorrow!!
